I think that it's mostly, if not all, in the mind of the smoker. Your body doesn't crave weed when it doesn't get it, as there are few (maybe none, I don't know) addictive substances. I think the withdrawal symptoms that people taking tolerance breaks feel are the result users mentally desiring the effects rather than the body demonstrating its desire.

When ive been smoking fairly regularly, like once a day for a couple weeks and i stop, i tend to get headaches/neck pains for a couple days after. But this could be purely coincidental.

It is not addictive, the only thing about it that is addictive is the fun you get when your high.

im addicted to orange juice, but i dont see a problem with that either.

if it gets in the way of your life however, then you have to take control

It is addictive, but only psychologically. You can get addicted to anything. If someone smokes weed for a while and stops, they will probably feel bored, but when used in moderation its not noticeable.

Okay, so perhaps it is only a psychological addiction. Is that really any less real? IMO, the mind is as important and powerful as the body, if not more.

So my view is that maijuana is indeed addictive.

i think it can be givin the person and certain situations. i think having an addictive personality has something to do with it as well.

Not smoking weed for me is like being on a diet. I'd love to eat a greasy dripping grilled cheese and fries from a diner, or a sleeve of oreos, however I am not addicted to eating this unhealthy food.

The human mind loves routine, and when you stray from that routine, whatever it is, your body will notice.

Weed is not physically addictive, it's only psycologically addictive.
true.... but who cares? what difference does it make to you?
I mean If you smoke weed regularly, everyday, regardless the fact you are doing it socially or alone, you WILL get addicted and in case you cant get any, you will crave it and get withdrawals.

So at this point who cares if the addiction is only psycological , pshysical or both you crave the drug and get withdrawals when you dont have it. It is an addiction there's no way else to call it....

Weed is just as addictive as WoW or sex.

    There, that's it.

True. I wasn't saying you have to be a **** to play WoW cause i played it from the day it came out to not long ago (with many many breaks in that period)
But honestly i cannot see how people get addicted to WoW, its a game, and a shit one at that.

I see what you meant. Sorry for the tone I took, I thought you were just saying its impossible to get addicted.

I've played many games and never gotten addicted. I've given games up after months of playing them in about 1 day and rarely thought back about them.

yea its psychologically addictive but that's definately not the same as being physically addictive its a lot easier to tell a pot head he cant smoke anymore then to tell an alcoholic he cant drink anymore. I smoked every day for about 7 months then i pretty much quit completely for a few months and now i only smoke occasionally, i didnt go through any withdrawals, I actually didnt find it that difficult at all.
