Okay, it may seem off-topic, but it's not. I had mono from kissing my girlfriend (or so i thought) and went to the doctor, stuff happened, and i found out i have to get my wisdom teeth taken out. I am 14, and i was wondering does it hurt, to have them taken out? Also, will i be able to kiss, a few days after i have them taken out? Kissing is love and sex...so there. Answer me! I am so scared of sleeping gas. And morphine.
The process itself won't hurt because you'll be out cold... and for the rest of the day you'll be pretty much walking in space (i was, at least)... if you stick to non-solid foods for the time period they give you, the rest of the "experience" should be reletively painless... By the by... those stuffed rats by yer furby look familiar, who are they?
I had all my wisdom teeth removed, even an impacted one, and I hardly enjoyed it but it wasn't as bad as I was led to believe it would be. Apparently some people really get messed up by it, their cheeks swell up and they're in a lot of pain and have to gulp the pain pills. It depends on the person.
It depends on the person i had all 4 of mine taken out at once and it was a missrable week but after that it was fine.. it healed up faster then my tounge pericing did. and the dr will hook u up with some cool meds it will be ok dont be scared *hugs*
ooooh wisdom teeth! I just had this done in July. So I'm fresh Ok, I have a horrible time with any sort of drugs because I have panic attacks even from smoking marijuana. I was TERRIFIED of the laughing gas. Morphine not so bad, I just have a hard time letting go of reality. But it was a breeze!! I had no problems. I just got relaxed like I was falling asleep until I felt asleep. I was in there about an hour but it felt like a minute once the med's kicked in. No pain AT ALL. It was perfectly fine, and if I can handle it anyone can. The process didn't hurt at all, however afterwards I ended up going 45 minutes from the doctors to my mothers house, spent at least an hour there (though I had no real sense of time yet) , and 45 minutes from there back my home. By the time I got back to my house the morphine had worn off. My mother was at wal-mart filling my prescription and gone at least two hours. She came home to me bawling on the sofa holding a teddy bear! It was unbearable painful, BUT I was not on pain killers. When on pain killers my jaw was constantly aching, but tolerable. Later on it just felt stiff. I gargled or rinsed (but do not do it roughly) with tea tree mouthwash. I drank pineapple juice and ate soft foods (not that i had an option there). I think all those hurried the healing, especially the tea tree oil. I can't recommend it highly enough. I even bought tea tree oil toothpaste. Do this and you'll heal much faster. There's an enzyme in pineapple juice that supposedly helps. Can't hurt either way. Anyways, about kissing. I'm in a long distance relationship and I see my boyfriend once every three months on average, if not longer. He was there after the surgery. Miserable ! We barely kissed the entire time he was here. He was here about a month, and I ended up giving him oral sex twice but it was nothing like it should have been. I was terrified of dislodging the blood clots that form. So if we were not in a long distance relationship and just couldn't help ourselves , I'd probably haven't done that. But it was at least two, probably three weeks after the surgery, so kissing should DEFINATELY be fine by that point. hehe
oh yes! Swelling. I looked like a chipmunk.. I was trying to hide my face as my boyfriend got off the train cause I was embarassed!.. But it wasn't too bad really.. The odd thing is the structure of my jaw was changed for quite a while, one side felt like it always did, the other side felt as though the bone were at an angle. Wasn't painful, just odd to get used to. And I took pain killers like candy. I think it was something like 4 hours between each, I was taking them at least 3 hours. Waking up in the mornings was by far the worst as I had to wait for the pain killers to begin working. Pain killers will be your friend during this. Anyways I'm glad you only have to have it done once . It's not fun, but it really also depends on the person. My co-worker was in horse races the next couple of days after having hers removed, while I was in no mood to do much of anything. Totally individual. When I was worried about it, some people told me not to worry at all it wouldn't hurt a single bit ever, and others told me it was agonizing. It was somewhere in between for me. Good luck.
Its a pain in the ass man... but nothing more, the meds keep you so dopped up that you won't even realise whats going on. Just one of those things in life that you hafta endure...
I still have all mine so far ... I dread the day of removal... P.S. how does this fit into the forum? lol
14? Psh. Suck it up. A little novocaine never hurt anyone. Besides, your supposed to be a male - real men don't cry or ask for consolation about stupid things like doctors appointments.
MAN that sucked for me when i got em taken out. I got dry socket. JESUS Painful. Just make sure u dont get dry socket haha..0uch peace chickens
kind of like the flu - basically the walking dead, sometimes it lasts upwards of a month. completely zaps you of any energy and its very contagious.
I'm a dentist, I just pull of some teeth, don't even remeber what teeth they were.. sure there ve been at least, a mandubelar wilsdom teeth.. Whever I have a wilsdom tooth to pull, I ask the patient.. so, your ready to go crazy?!.. we laugh and that is! Just take it easy kid! And TakeMeNow, your hot!
