Planting The Initial Seed!!!

is there a certain way that you need to place the seed when you put it in the soil after germinating!!!!!????

i cant ever figure out if its the root thats coming out or if its the start of a stem!

PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME ON HOW IM SUPPOSED TO PUT MY SEED IN THE SOIL!!!!

 

Take a pencil and poke a hole that it about a 1/2 inch to a inch down and put the seed in. It helps if the taproot (the white thing - which is a root) is facing downward, but unless your soil is really really dense it really doesn't matter. Cover the seed and LIGHTLY pat some soil on to it.

Once you've done it once you'll have it down alright.
