Smoking in public

Now, the majority of us here live in places where marijuana is illegal. Obviously, we don't give a shit and smoke it anyway.

Some of you live with your parents, some of you have places of your own. There are different rules applying to smoking in your homes.

However, at some point, you ALL must have wanted to smoke up when out with some buddies.

Apart from the obvious option of smoking up in a car, where are some places that you've gone to smoke up which weren't too obvious and you could get high without being caught by the cops or stared at by randoms walking past?

I've found that the top floor of parking buildings works really well cos they're open so the smell/smoke just blows away and it's easy enough to find corners where the cameras can't see you.

Where've you smoked up in public?

 

By my house, there's some woodland area with a stream running through to a big pond with a path running round it, and various fishing posts in practically the middle of nowhere. It's like a minute walk round the corner and it's great to toke up in.

When I was younger I used to smoke up everywhere. Behind churches, playgrounds, parking lots behind buildings, parks, side streets, behind dumpsters, allyways.

Now I smoke on the trailways behind my house, on my porch, while I'm walking down a street. lol When smoking in public I use my one hitter/dugout that looks just like a cigarette, so all I really have to worry about is the smell. And if I'm walking and don't take hit after hit in the same place I'm good.

Last month I smoked on the steps of a law office.

 

We just set up a bon-fire in my friends back yard, never had a problem, the smoke off the fire covers up any smells (outside or on your clothes) and no one has ever noticed, we even talked to one of his neighbors while we were smoking, he wasn't that close so I he couldn't smell it he thought we were all smoking cigarettes.

 

basically any wooded area that isn't a park is a great place to smoke.
I smoked in a photo booth at six flags once.

 

Anywhere, I'll walk down the street (have plenty of times) with a joint or pipe in my mouth. It doesn't matter no goverment is gonna restrict my personal freedom.

I love parks, woods, porches, peoples backyards, ninja-style shit.

If you're in a place where you're trying to conceal it, you're more likely to get caught. People will see you acting sneaky, and therefore think you're doing something wrong. You're kind of criminalizing yourself

If you do it in public like it's nothing...people might not notice because your behavior doesn't give it away that you're doing something wrong.

What would catch your attention more? A person walking down the street, or a person crouched on a porch looking around nervously?

Hell yeah man, if your gonna smoke on your porch bring out a j and sit on the steps like it's nothin. From like 10 feet away you can't tell it's not a cigarette, especially on a windy evening, takes that smell away right quick.

I'd rather my friends / family know I'm smoking a joint rather then a cig, fuck that ciggs kill people.

 

I smoke everywhere.

Good places are usually parking lots that aren't too busy. Just pull up, blend in with the other cars.

Or else just walk around, when theres no people around, bam but out your pipe and take a hit.

Or on the porch, just looks like ur going out for a cigarette.

whenever im at a resturant. i will quitely excuse myself from the table and go outside by the smoking area(u cant smoke inside public buildings in fl) and just sit ther and smoke a little personal sized spliff. nothing to big so that i will burn a lil quicker and no one usually bothers u. sometimes ill get people to join me. like forward adventure said as long as u act normal and mind yur own buisness no one is gunna mess with u. but when i do smoke in public i only bring enough with me that i would smoke at that time or that i could eat. just incase some cops or something showed up

 

i smoke outside all the time, theres this trail by my house that i go on and toke up, i havent smoked in awhile tho. but once i smoked in central park, that was fun, very risky, but very fun. it was on john lennons birthday, in strawberry fields. so it was pretty chill, no one really said anything. but usually if you dont look like your doing something shady, no one thinks twice about it. gotta love apathy

 

the closest to public i got was when some buddies and i went down to this church, where if you walked up stairs from the entrance you would be right in public. Other then that, various alleys

 

me and some friends walked down Compton st in halifax smoking from a double barrel pipe, for those of you who aren't familar with Halifax, thats a street pretty much in the middle of town. Foolish, but didn't get caught, lol.

 

I used to smoke on my way to school, or in the parking lot at school. Mostly though I'd just toke up before I left. Thing is it's a very small town and everyone knows what other people drive, so I had to be careful. Luckily I live in the middle of nowwhere, so I'd just stand in my driveway and enjoy it. Go to school, hit it up a little after whereever I could find a spot. Backroads, main roads, wherev.

 

Smoked outside college, outside school. Many a parks, walking down the road many a time, in town walking down the road and queuing for the bank(ATM machine), outside the pizza shop...most places really. As long as you're careful you should be ok

 

it might sound stupid but i have lived right across the street from a police station forever. they are so cool with us we usually smoke in our yard in the summer time and even right on the front porch facing them if it's a little colder and we don't feel like smoking in the basement.

 

iv done it walking down the crowded beach in the middle of summer, and if you think thats not a big deal, my town depends on tourists at the beach for most of its income. also at the public docks, walking downtown (pretty much the ghetto). on the beach i was just casually smoking a j, at the docks ive smoked everything from j's to blunts to pipes to a bong once, and downtown was with a j and a blunt at different times

 

There's this awesome tree near one of the local hospitals that overlooks this awesome view of the harbor. It's an excellent place to smoke up. It has tons of strong branches, so it's easy to climb up/down.

Actually, one of my friends told me that his uncle carved a piece INTO the tree.

Everyone in Portland knows it simply as "The Trippin' Tree."
