One could put up posters in places where people are bound to notice them. The goal is to educate people about marijuana right? Something like this just might get people talking:

Something seems to have gone terribly wrong…In this country a person could receive more time in prison for selling marijuana compared to raping a child or detonating a bomb aboard an aircraft.”

Someone seems to have their priorities mixed up.

Learn the facts, its takes two sides of the story.”

it really seems like a good idea, but do you think they would allow you to do that and just let the posters hang for they are?

i think he would just put them up. Better up for a little while than not at all (if they tear them down).

yeah, that's true as well. nowadays all the information is on the net, so if people are curious enough they will find the right information anyway

This is actually a very good idea, and not as difficult as it may seem, if you consider adjusting the location to fit your lifestyle. Not everyone is in college, but anyone can print up their own educational flyer, just make it on plain, white, regular 8 1/2 X 11, and print on both sides. I have one already in the files section of my Yahoo list, nomoproh, available for download and printing. When I first did this, I even gave them out to my stoner buddies, most of which were almost as uneducated as the general public, to my surprise.

I also left them in public restrooms, folded into little squares, meant to make people wonder what they are and pick them up and read them.

You can also leave your home-made flyers on tables at restraunts, with your tip. Do you ever go to the laundrymat? Stick one in the pages of some of the magazines there, leave some on the open counter, tape one to the coke machine.

The three rules are: make them educational, list sources of additional information, and tell them how they can help (write letters to congress, etc.)

My e-mail list is called "No More Prohibition" (nomoproh) and you can subscribe by sending an e-mail to subscribe@nomoproh@yahoogroups.com. Add your home-made flyer to the files section so others can use it, too. There are several links to helpful, educational websites for anyone writing a thesis, preparing a report, or making their own flyer.

We will have bi-monthly writing campaigns, organized to focus on a few representatives at a time. If we do not speak to our congressional representatives, how can we expect them to represent us?

So, let's get busy and start making some positive changes. Too many innocent people are going to jail. Families are ruined. Finances are wiped out. Futures are squashed. Cops have too much incentitive to be crooked.

Nobody's going to stop it but us.

When looking over the risks and the benefits of putting up educational flyers, on the positive side, the message will get out there. The hope is that someone will get the message and maybe understand the concept of live and let live. I would love to talk about the problem associated with this message, however, not having to converse about the topic with a flier in my hand would also be easier.
