i dont have any plans yet but my boyfriend and i both work untill midnight on weekdays. so we probably wont do anything on valentines day. I want to plan something special the weekend after maybe.... but i just started thinking about it so idk what we'll do... it would be nice to go away for the weekend just to be able to spend time with him. we're always so busy. :(

nah.. no... I don't plan anything. 1, Who knows we'll still be together? 2, I don't even celebrate Valentine's Day. It's celebrated in Europe. but a lot of people don't celebrate it coz ... it just ain't our celebration, you know.. where did it come from? USA?

St. Valentine was a priest who was martyred for his Christian faith in the Third Century. He had the reputation of bringing lovers together and even marrying them in secret, as Christian marriage was against the laws of the Roman Empire at the time.

The red associated with Valentine's day has its origin in the bright red vestments (symbolizing the blood of the martyrs) that the priest wears when he celebrates Mass on the feasts of martyrs, including St. Valentine's feast day, which is celebrated on the Traditional Roman Catholic calendar on February 14.

The feast is celebrated around the world (now only where the Traditional Latin Mass is celebrated) but since Valentine was a Roman martyr, more emphasis on the religious aspect of the day was probably given by Europeans rather than Americans.

I'm going to see my g/f the weekend following Valentines Day. I'm getting her a Fossil watch that she really wanted, and some Godiva chocolates...

And hopefully we'll have a good night :)
