Ok so me and my friends were talking about all the fun stuff we used to do through elementary school, and all the cool adventures we would go on.

Then we talked about stuff our parents would do as kids, or all the cool stuff they do in movies, which we wish we could do. then we decided we are only teenagers we can still do this stuff.

We decided to get rid of TV and the computer(we decided we are aloud on computer only when we are at home bored/nothing to do example: most nights/while doing homework) the only thing holding us back from doing these things.

and all i got to say is: you have so much free time without TV, sure i miss some of the shows i watch but its all worth it...

The first day without TV was a friday night, so we picked up our fakes and headed to a nightclub. it was all good we headed down to a little place where my dad said they used to hang out, called "purple city" its pretty much a light you look into, burns your rentas and everything is purple for a good 30min orso... good stuff.

next morning we went for a hike to a place we always used to go as kids, we were the only kids that new of this place, we even built a fort there once(and to our surprise it was still there, our names were still carved into the boards, so we carved new ones with the date)

that afternoon we headed to the arcade/ice cream store it was empty, all new games but we blew a few bucks there...

i wont keep going on about the other stuff we did but WOW you have so much free time without TV, it actually rots your brain, doesnt do anything for you.

all i got to say is get a bunch of mates together and bring back old memorys, even if you are too old to do some of the stuff you used to do, take the time to do something new, just wing it. TV is the devil. im sure ill go back to it, but i have to agree without TV life is much better...

i just wish they never got rid of Drive in movie theaters/all the other stuff i never got to experience, those days sounded like a blast.

    this post is fun.

perhaps you will go back to tv, but will it ever be the same? in the back of your mind while you watch there will always be that nagging thought...

yea i have decided TV isnt really the main cause of it, it was just me being lazy and TV was the easy way out, it gave me something to do without thinking.

instead of phoning a friend up or a couple friends, i would just turn on the telly. but lately i have actually felt smarter; well sharper and quicker, comebacks are easier, i have also been thinking more then usual, just sitting down and thinking instead of turning off my brain and watching TV. its intense
