Okay I had back combed dreads but wasn't very happy since at the beginning I used waxed finding out the wax was molding or w/e the hell was inside I cut em off and permed my hair back straight. So now I am going NATURAL! Okay so I wash my hair w/ dr. bonners and use salt water and all I need is tim eand thats it correct?

way i see it. everyones head and hair are different. i just lost my brush. didn't touch my head for about 2 weeks then pulled apart the sections i noticed naturally knotting together. it's worked GREAT. the major difference with my head though.. i only wash my hair once or twice a month and that works great for me.

i think the least you do to it.. the better it dreads up. when i do pull it back i do it loosely so i don't mash whats happening naturally.

you tried it one way, it didn't work, you learned.. go for it naturally, i say.

    yeah, my hat's pretty loose.

i do fluff my hair a couple times a day tops, and every few days i separate some knots, but other then that i just wash.

personally, i'd wait until the chemicals are all washed out to let the hair dread if i were in your spot.

I'm doing the same thing. It's working slowly but working none the less. Happy dreading. ( By the way I did the non-natural method first too, and took em out).
