I think I am going to Give up eating meat replacements, a little bit of it is because it reminds me of meat, but that's not really why. I am a vegan for ethical reasons, but also for health reasons, and I ate a Boca Vegan Burger today and i got SOOOOO sick, and it made me realize that maybe I shouldn't be eating meat replacements, because i am starting to think that they are really bad for you. A true, good vegan diet, to me, includes fruits, grains, veggies, and nuts, and that's it...

    Peace and Love,
    Dan

i've never been a bg fan of te meat replacements that are so much like meat. i guess they're great for people who miss meat, or are in the process of changing their diet.

I always wondered if vegetarians who ate that stuff were merely fantasizing.

i know what you mean, boca burgers are awful. i had a morningstar farms burger once (fantastic, i must say) but i put it on bread with veganise and soy cheese and it tasted so much like a burger i threw up later that night

yeah like that "smart bacon" shit looks kind of awkward. Right when I got on the veggie diet I started eating meat replacements, like the hot dogs, but you're right, a simpler raw diet is better. But I do love good veggie burgers!

I think Boca burgers are discusting...they're soo bleh...I'm not a big fan of meat replacers myself...there was this health food store (it closed...grr...) that made vegan "chicken" salad with textured soy protien...I liked that...and I'm sad the place closed because I have cravings for it sometimes...lol...

...I also like Gardenburgers... brown rice, cheese, and mushrooms! :) :) Yum!

I love'em myself , i think they are fan fuckin tastic. its got nothing to do with thinking its actual meat. it could be shaped in a block form and i'd just slice it and eat it that way.

I like some, I like the GardenBurger Chick'n Patty, and their Spicy Chicken Wings, and stuff. But Boca Vegan burgers, just aren't good, and don' agree with my stomach at all...

boca's shit. but gardenburger and morningstar can be okay at times. i use them for convenience food, like at large social gatherings where it's a hell of a lot easier to just bring my veggieburger and look like everyone else.

I only use "fake" meat when my daughter wants a hamburger or spaghetti. If I were just feeding myself I wouldn't use meat replacements, but I have to take her wants into consideration as well. She wasn't born veggie, but her younger sister was, so I don't have a problem with her.
