new here and getting some Salvia Divinorum soon i wonder if someone with a mood disorder would be afected differntly after you come back to baseline ? anyone have anythoughts on this. andy
From what I hear, the answer is yes. Beware if you are on other medication (like paxil) as other prescriptions for mood or mental disorders may contraindicate. Salvia changes brain chemistry to accomplish what it does, its the equivalent of turning a drunk loose in the china shop of the mind. Only your doctor could advise, research on the subject is sparse, so be cautious. While short in duration, a salvia trip can be abrupt and intense, "they" advise that no one with mental problems or disorders try it...
yes i do understand that and why i put in days of research. ive read a bunch of trip stories so to better understand and try to prepare before i do do this. but it also seems to have antidepressent quilities as a after glow.it seems it could be good for me also because of that.
if you have mood disorders it's best to start with a very small amount and gradually increase until you find your threshold. Don't go too fast too soon as large doses can be very frightening. Yes it shows promise as an antidepressant tho more research is needed. Perhaps it's similar to the twisted ECT logic that people are calmer after inducing a major seizure, so on Salvia you're calmer after blasting yourself into another reality.
Careful not to underestimate the power of salvia either. Pretty much the first thing Erowid says- most people don't like the effects of salvia- I found salvia very uncomfortable and I can understand my erowid says that. Only because I'm so curious and determined to understand this plant that I will continue to experiment with it.
i feel the same since i recently tried it ergo very strange indeed i am more respectful of saliva that for sure
