Mine had to be Abba Gold on Cd back in the year 1994. So what was your first record and what do you think of it now? Still hip or demode?
"The Joker" reissue by the Steve Miller Band on 7" single, but I was scared so got my brother to buy it First CD, Pearl Jam's "Ten", and actually bought it myself Not such a bad record to be your first - it's on the right track at least
First album I bought myself - Thriller by Michael Jackson First CD - Strangeways, Here We Come by The Smiths
First album I owned - Thriller, Michael Jackson First album I bought - True Blue, Madonna (Both on vinyl) A rather inauspicious start to my record collection
Actually my first might've been "Now That's What I Call Music Volume #Something" on double cassette or some such trash... even less auspicious
First I owned: The Beatles - The Red Album (Dad's handmedown) First I bought: Nirvana - Nevermind Both still kick arse
Now that I think harder on the question, I had some embarrasing stuff myself back in the day. An East 17 album for instance. But hell, I still have embarassing stuff nowadays, so what can I say?
First LP (double) was 'Snap' by The Jam, their greatest hits so to speak. Second hand for five quid out of Pet Sounds; still good stuff.
i went for an iron maiden tripple i bought seventh son of a seventh son powerslave and x factor up the irons
Ah Pet Sounds, aint it mint. They're great those little music shops, Hot Rats is canny too. I like how you can actually go and chat on with the workers about music, aint much of that in your HMV's and whatnot.
Single, Part of the Union - Strawbs, fair enough. Album, Then there were three - Genesis, past its sell by a little Both in Vinyl, still got them as well, oh dear.
