Spirit - Randy California, Ed Cassidy and freinds - one of my favourite bands.

I particularly like 'twelve dreams of doctor sardonicus', 'future games - a magical kahuna dream' and 'potatoland'- but all their stuff is good!

    Anyone else like them?

Twelve Dreams of Dr Sardonicus is an amazing album. When I listen to this I find it difficult to believe I'm listening to an album that it was made in 1970, it was way ahead of it's time sound and production wise, sounds more like a late 70's album to these ears, great stuff!

Yeah - they were way ahead of their time. The production and effects on 'future games' for instance...........

They are the cream of the crop when it comes to 60's Californian psychedelia. I fancy their first two albums most. Dr Sardonicus is all right, but I don't care for the production on this album. The band seems to have lost a lot of their edge with this album, too. Sounds a bit too polished. Too commercial.

They were a great band, though. It's a shame that so many people have never heard their music, except for the maybe one or two songs you might hear on a DECENT classic rock station once in a blue moon.

    I love spirit ;)
For me "The Family That Plays Together" is the best album and then the first one.
Aren't You Glad is an awesome track.
