you stole my idea for a signature. i was gonna use that picture I demand you take it down right now and let me use it. loljk
nah you can have it. I still like my dethklok!!! but when i saw that picture on the news it really touched me and i thought that it was a nice piece of art. itll definately be in time magazine's next greatest images issue.
LOL! Yeah I was gonna post it up somewhere too. It's a fantastic find. Really romantic to think that that couple lay there together for 5000 years, and then when their tragic death is finally uncovered it's viewed by a billion people on the same day 5000 years into the future! Their love has stood the test of time! Now if we can only determine who did it, we can bring their bones to trial! No doubt some terrorists did it...
yeah. isnt that what most of us dream about? only to realize that its a moot point since you wont be there to enjoy the impact you make on people.
I think a billion people seeing that, most feeling a kind of sweet sadness for them, indeed reached them, wherever they are... I sense them smiling, glowing, reveling in this moment. They've waited a long time for this.
the report i saw on that was that it looked like he died first, and she was sacrificed so that he wouldn't go into eternity alone. one can only hope, what with the way women were typically treated in history, that she went willingly and with love. still, the image was more beautiful to me before i heard that. like etrustcan sarcophogi.
well, if that was their custom, then she more than likely did go willingly, because shes not in a self defensive position at all.
Ha, I was also going to post a thread about it, but then I forgot too... but seeing the sig reminded me of it everytime... it's a beautiful story.
weird that everyone seems to be making such a big deal out of it while I, uh, don't see it as all that big a deal. *Shrugs* and I used to be an arch major. But, y'know, I'm weird and not too much of a softie I guess.
