There is planned A Sydney Confest.There have been four (Sydney ones already held).The Sydney Confest is on a much smaller scale than the normal one held outside of Deniliquin.The Sydney Confest you do not have to bring your own food unlike the Deniliquin one.Details below: 5th Sydney ConFesters Gathering Long Weekend 1-5 October '04 In the beautiful bushland setting of Lower Mangrove Mountains 1½ hours from Sydney you can experience: ¨ Swimming ¨ Fires ¨ Learning ¨ Fun Workshops ¨ Dancing ¨ Community & teamwork ¨ Idea sharing ¨ Camping ¨ Drumming Together we will create our own communal meals, shelters, facilities, steam room and hot tub. No, it is held in addition to the main festivals held at Deniliquin , New Year & Easter.Sydney Confest is attended by a few hundred people unlike the main one that is attended by a few thousand people. DTE (Down To Earth) is a non-profit organization that has no paid staff.All work is done by volunteers.The ticket price of $45 includes 2 hours of your time.This is not necessarily hard yakka.The first time I was cutting up 44 gallon oil drums with an angle grinder.Another year I was laying and burying black poly pipes, another time I was working in the front gate.If you see some thing that needs doing, do it. If you have any pets please leave them at home and get someone to feed them while you are away.If you do not want to pay please do not come.The ticket price pays for the overheads.
