stuck protopipe tar trap, WHAT HAS WORKED FOR YOU!?

my protopipe's tar trap is stuck in place and i cant get it out, does anyone know a good method to remove it?

 

I've only seen a protopipe once, could you explain the tar trap?

 

The tar trap is a removable bowl.

On the removable bowl (when you first get it) there are two holes in it, they are supposed to be there so you can insert a tool and twist it off like that...

I think thats how to do it... I only looked at a picture to figure it out

 

nvm i figured it out... i saw a website where a guy was trying to sell a "protopipe tar trap removal tool" which was pretty much just a block of wood with a tar trap sized hole in it, so instead of paying liek, 11 bucks i made my own.. i found a drill bit that would fit in the hole and hammered away and everything came out a-ok

 

i always cleaned mine out regurally so it wouldnt get stuck.

but once in awhile it would get hard to remove, so i would heat it up with my lighter, stick the poker in the slot, and bang them both down on a table poker first.
