Has anyone ever ran from the law?

A friend of mine has been running from felony warrants (financial crimes) for 2 years..i talk to him via email but he never tells me where he is.

Is it possible for a person to hide from warrants and the law like that? How the hell is he doing it?

How profoundly insane, yet with a twist of stupidity.

 

I'm thinking the stress of having to look over your shoulder all the time would make running so not worth it and no- I've never been a fugitive.

 

That kind of life must be stressful. I've only ran from the cops, nothing serious. But I had a friend who recently got sentenced 10 years in an Alabama prison. He ran 20 years from his warrants. He embezzled $20,000 from some company he used to work for.
