Burning DVD - Mike Myatt

Hello my name is Mike Myatt and I want to burn a movie onto a DVD; what type of file would it need to be for it to work on a standard DVD player (if it's possible)?

if you want to burn a DVD movie then there are different ways to do it. first of all, what Operating System do you use and are there any disc burning programs installed on it?

it maybe a simple command at the command line to rip a DVD into an iso and then another command to copy it to disc. it can be illegal if the material is copyrighted though. i will not tell my secrets to a federal agent though, especially if he/she wants to make a DVD-backup program illegal. btw, you have 1 post right now.
