wow, you are annoying. how did you stop anything when you were maybe 15 years old at the time the war ended? your parents drive you to all the protests?
I kinda liked them... Was a little like being buzzed off of alcohol... But a little less fun. Still, it wasn't unpleasant, and I heard Touch of Gray (among some other Dead songs) in ways I have never experianced them before... It was nice.
15 years old isn't too young to stop a war... instead of criticizing, all you hippie tots should be inspired by my example when i stopped the war
First of all you should understand yourself if you need drugs or not! If u r alright and you feel yourself as hippy without it, forget about drugs/ There's no rule like "if you don't have any drugs that means you're not a hippy!" Hippy means freedom! And you're free in this way! Peace!
i can only imagine what you did to stop the war "mommy, daddy, i'm going to hate you forever if you don't take me to this protest" ..."oh and i need some money for tiedye rolling papers" "get a job, son" "GOD I HATE YOU!!!!!"
i didn't realize we needed "street cred" to hang out?!?!? i'm no stranger to mary jane but i get my buzz these days through daily meditation where my mind is free to fly. it's complete nonsense to credit one person with stopping a war. you may have played a part but stop throwing your weight around acting like we're total crap because Iraq is still happening. just because we're young doesn't negate our worth.
You dont have do do anything you dont want to especially drugs. Hippy lifestyle revolves around freedom of the soul. Let noone set you to a label, labels are not what hippies are about....just be yourself, thats the true way to be a happy hippy
I think "hippie" is a state of the spirit. If you do drugs or you do not, is not an issue. It just depends how you define your path.
My friends call me a hippy that don't do that much drugs... Its kinda funny none of them are hippys. That is what THEY label me. I think it is because i am free spirited. easy going. Wear long skirts, no make up, dress way different than them, listen to the grateful dead, the doors, hendrix, janis, beatles, rolling stones etc... am creative, have shrooms and tye dye things all over my house, tapestry, am upset by war, love nature, Find the good in everything and everyone, don't use aresol cans, recycle, Never liter (My car gets way messier than theirs because of it), go barefoot as much as possible and hate shoes, don't care about the time, don't like cell phones, love plants, would love to live off the land in nowhere. And I love postive air and postive people..belive in karma. I could go on but my point is there are all kinds of things that people who are LABELED as hippys do that are the same. you may not have all those things in common with eachother but you are still labeled as such by society. Like me for instance i tried eating vegin for a while but i had a big juicy steak and i just cant stop eating meat now i love it.... but my friends still call me a hippy even though I dont fit that part of the description lol... your not always going to have EVERYTHING in common with others... but if you have alot in common with them then i dont think you should be cast out from creating friendships with them... whatever you call yourself its just a label!!! Much love, Missy
I hope your kidding. There are no set rules to being a hippie, because then the idea behind the whole counterculture movement would be a load of crap.
