but they really like those mini-personal cereal boxes, if i cut holes in the middle and make little passage ways, since they naturally burrough and dig and shit, and i like cereal, so its all good. but damn it no knows a damn things about little rodents like these, like thye have personalities for instance, and that they are social, and need companions!!! look into getting him a companion, maybe a bigger cage too, they are muuuch happier that way. they may fight upon meeting, i dont know about hamsters like gerbils, but im sure you have to introduce them a certain way as with gerbils. just look it up online, if not i can help you out.
Those are some neat creatures. I used to have a LOT of them but they made such a racket at night... now I have an evil cat, too. :$
ahhh i know smetimes it really seems like they wait till i go to bed to wake up... i get used to it though, just focus my attention on something else. i just gotta kitty cat too, my first 'real' animal, finally convinced my mom to get all these, its great
OMG that kitten is cute. And those gerbil pictures are adorable too! I have four cats, and my youngest one is naughty, so he enjoys watching the hamster. I only let him be in the same room as the hamster if i am in the room too, and hammy's in his cage of course. but my cat loves to just lay with his arms wrapped around the cage watching it. and if the hamster moves, he jumps back scared of it haha. well, here's a picture of my naughty kitty. his name is samuel and i love him dearly. he is trying to avert my kiss in the picture, but usually he is very snuggly.
yeah my kitten does the same thing, she trys to catch them when i let em loose around, first it loox like shes petting them sordove, then she goes for the bite, my kitty isnt very trainable, but yeah she likes to chill out on top of their cages too, and she scares the fuck outta them though
this thread is turning me on... my hamsters were so cool! i had two dwarf hamsters and one teddy bear hamster. there names were Hairball, Furball, and Puffball. they died of diabetes.
