Has anyone else noticed that most foods which advertise "Zero Grams Trans-Fat" are loaded with high fructose corn syrup? Those tricky fuckers...

Yes, HFCS makes you hungry for more food, something they started in the 70's I think. Bad deal.

Or when it says all natural and it has high fructose corn syrup. Grr I don't like that.
I ALWAYS look at ingredients though. And even if it says no trans fat, it can still have it if there is less than .5 grams of it, look for hydrogenated oil and there it is.
I really think there should be a ban on these things! I can't buy anything from a normal grocery store without it having some weird junk in it.

I've been trying really hard to avoid HFCS because it's SOOO yucky for your body, but it's in everything! I finally found a brand of whole-grain bread without it, and it's $3 a loaf! Thankfully, we already eat a lot of homemade, natural stuff, but my mom is always trying to feed my son junk that he can't have, so I have to check the labels on everything she buys. Even a lot of yogurts have HFCS in them.

Finding bread without HFCS is the hardest for me. What brand did you find?

It's Pepperidge Farm Whole Grains. A bit pricey, but healthy and very tasty.
