Eh, I don't want to get offtopic but male hemp plants aren't illegal right? I thought you can still use that legally to produce clothing and rope and stuff.
Ok of cousre your words sound reasonable... even too reasonable that makes me a bit depressed But still... what are we supposed to do then? - just sidet sloja ruki podchinyayas vsemy zly na zemle? Still there must be smth everyone can do...even some small thing... So know, idealism is pretty, beautiful, marvelous... but... not realistic.
its also illegal cuz when you smoke pot, you talk with god and the powers that be don't want people to be in communication with cosmic realities
you need a u.s. dept of agricultural permit to grow hemp which requires lots of paperwork and can be refused... they make it hard to do most hemp is grown in foreign countries (not u.s.) also, hemp plants grow better when allowed to have a little thc present and u.s. agricutural dept. wants on the 0 thc types... in short, its a big conspiracy and if people knew what the greedy folks were up to, people would be pissed
we're all thought and no action and the people in power are all action no thought... then there's activists... which I have nothing on
Ta net... do, act, protest, do all of that good stuff... but, don't plan a revolution. You can do more productive things with your time to help the world. Go on the street and offer a homeless man some bread, talk to people on an individual basis and confront their opinions.... make people know. The first step of a revolution is to make people aware that one is needed. This cannot be done globaly. Honestly, if each and every poster in this thread was to just go out and have an intellectual conversation with a good 50 people about this topic and about why a "revolution" is necessary, then there will be much more progress. Don't just dream, do! I myself see no need of a revolution in the US. Now, some other countries actually do violate human rights. The US is heaven on earth compared to them. If you really like the Che, then do as he did... go to a war and poverty-turn country, and help the people there.
did someone say war and poverty torn country??? the peace corps is seriously my bag. i am on my way. =]
you need idealism. its a basic structure of sociaty. i mean everything starts as an ideal. REALISM. its just a old ideal and we need a new one. im sorry for you that you think to liberate people from one system you must replace it with the other BY WAR. the best thing we need to do is to make people aware that we need change. you do that mostly by art. thats how you get a big number of people. its enough to make people aware at least in your home town or in neighborhood. do that and you have yourself a REVOLUTION. and most importantly u need a strong leader that everyone will understand and follow.
Also, most plastics are recyclable. Those that aren't are reusable...or can be replaced with recyclable plastics. I like the hemp thing too...as for it being hard to get government permission, blah blah blah...well so? It's hard..but not impossible.
oh god i'm NOT for a revolution or War!!! I'm for good deeds that will help people understand the real value of life is not money or material things or power... no violence, no! i'm just agaist passiveness when people just say: oh we can do nothing in this cruel world, let bit be as it is... i think everyone can do smth good to another person...and help...and teach simple true things... and i don't want any systems imposed on nations...systems, all of them are evil. and i doubt we need a strong leader... Stalin was one and everybody followed him...as if hypnotized worshiped him... Pasha, ya soglasna s toboi teper...i see your point now...naschet Che- ne znau teper...ti tak ybeditelno govorish...blin, mne teba ni za chto ne peresporit
what the hippy tots have to understand, if we want to make industrial hemp an economic alternative, we have to grow tons and tons of it and begging and bureaucratic red tape to grow a few pounds isn't going to cut it... believe me, there is an effort made to limit production and that effort and laws have to discredited and abolished
Revolution is not the most important anyway. Maybe an individual revolution, but that maybe an exaggeration because to be a person that shows how to be tolerant, free, loving and understanding isn't revolutionary in my book. And to carry out those things seems to be the most important.
talking is the best way cuz hippies are interested in being free and talk is cheap or free... it doesn't cost anything
talk is nothing when you've no actions to back it up. I agree that if anything's going to happen it needs to start with the individual.
