Is my money problem a weed problem?

Well, lately I've noticed that the past few months all my money has been spent on weed. Now, I could see how this would normally be an addiction problem for other people, like a sign of it, but It's a bit different with me.


I have all the neccessities I need, and weed is my favorite hobby. It's my favorite hobby because it takes hobbies that would normally be mundane and boring, and makes them incredibly exciting.

I only use to get $10 a week for weed, and now whenever I get any money. I've bought a few other things than just weed, but it's big, costly things that I want for certain hobbies that I haven't been saving up for. LIke, I've needed a distortion pedal on my guitar for just about the same amount of time I've been smoking. It's not something I really want all the time, it's just every time I hear a distorted song I want to play I can't. The cost like 50 or 100, which is a long time saving for me anyway, and I was just going to get 'em on a birthday or something. That's something I do a lot, though. With or without weed.

Before I started smoking, the circumstances were generally the same, except my biggest hobby was C programming. I'd buy a different book every two weeks, and if something was 50 or 100, I just coudln't save up for it, and I just wanted it for a birthday.


I'm just wondering, does it sound like I have a problem with weed and I'm just convincing myself otherwise, or is it how I see it and weed is just now my most frequent hobby?

(I do plan on managing my money and prioritizing it better, so don't worry. lol)

 

I don't know what to tell you , I myself spend a good amount of money on bud. I figure in the past 10 yrs I have probably spent around $30,000 on bud.

 

no, its simply how much you chose to spend on it. some people like to jetski, where you're constantly paying for gas, ya know? some people just like to toke up, in which they pay for their grass.

it all comes down to how much you want to spend on it, and set that limit and dont break it. maybe even do a montly expense chart or something? i know i write down everything i spend money on, because i always like to know whats goin on with my cashmoney$$.

 

That's exactly what I meant. Any other hobby would be fine to spend all my money on, but I've just had too many people telling me I have a problem with it. I guess it's all I can really do now, though. With only $10 a week, it's not easy to have a budbudget, or any budget really.
