I was talking to a girl at school today (first time I have ever spoken to her for more than 5 seconds, actually) and the subject of hugging came up. We were talking about how some people love it, and some people ate utterly uncomfortable with the idea of platonic physical contact... So although I love hugs, I am reserved about their distribution because I don't wanna weird anyone out. But when I find other people who love hugs as much as me, they are often distribued quite often.

    So do you like hugs?

I think hugging strangers would be cool... But I haven't ever tried doing that (sober, that is). And who wouldn't hug a drunk kid?!

I am constantly hugging people, and I love to be hugged in return.
I don't really hug strangers though unless i'm drunk.

I hug everyone (other than old conservative asses who will probably think that they're getting bum germs off me)...

Handshakes are silly when there are hugs.

Once again, BraveSirRubin has made an awesome post! I shall start hugging as an alternative to shaking hands... :) That'd be awesome!

I love hugs, I should hug more people this year. I hugged some guy I'd only met that night (friend of a friend), but he was so drunk he saw two of me and I was fairly sloshed too. Admittedly I hugged him because I thought he was fiiiiiiiiiiiine  but still, hugging is fab. Besides, in winter our parkas are practically the same as those medical-suits to prevent infection, it's not like you end up really touching a person when hugging in winter in the frozen north

I also speant all day at work giving back rubs too my fellow employees (we weren't incredible busy, obviously). I love spreading the love wherever I go! (Not to mention, I am told I give really good back rubs).

Aww man, that really sucks... :(

I have got to spread my love, man. Hugs, platonic kisses on the cheek (not so much with other guys though), dishing out the thoughtful kind deeds... All that good stuff. I love making other people feel loved and happy. I like feeling loved and feeling happy, so I like to pay it forward.

Think of a hug as a huge handshake. You can tell even more from a hug, and a stranger's reaction to one.

but you can tell if someones a bit of a dick (with a small penis) if they just really overcompenate with a handshake, its mroe difficult with a hug

They won't hug you if they feel threatened in their masculinity... Same thing, right?

Don't blame you, smelling of booze and are going to vomit any minute... I probably wouldn't hug them sober either. :)

Who am I kidding? I can't turn down a hug!

yeah, I love hugs...unforunately Germans here are big on the handshake...but its also weird, beacuse freinds hug, its kind of a sign that your friends...but sometimes, as Im leaving a freinds house or something lik that, my freind comes closer and I cant tell if we're gonna hug or shake hands...I always go to give a hug...but then, sometimes, they just put their hand out for a shake, and my arms are almost already around them, and then Im like "oh!" and I awkwardly shake their hand.

    stupid hand shakes.

Hugs weird me out, unless it's close family or very close friends.

Otherwise it's like, why the fuck are you touching me? Step away. Now.

I'm not huge on touching other human beings/having people touch me
