verizon using Hendrix song for advertisement

    Verizon has put out a cell phone called Fire

    on their television commercial for the product they use "Fire" by Jimi Hendrix to sell their product

    opinions?

    yeah, i saw that ad, the hendrix estate must've given the ok for the song use. when i first saw it i wondered what they were selling, i kinda thought they were pushing burgers,...well at least it isn't that! JL is right...what can ya do?

    well what i don't get is why are the Experience Hendrix people selling out?

    they're coming out with an energy drink called Liquid Experience

    i think it's fuckin retarded

    hmmmm i heard that someone was making a jimi hendrix power drink too...this is stupid because i doubt very much that hendrix would have endorsed any of these products...but i guess you never do know...
    as far as the cell phone goes, i don't think we can do anything about it so look on the bright side...we get to hear hendrix instead of some girly pop star
