This may be a stupid question but I was wondering if anyone knows why e is class A (in Britain) and hallucigens like lsd are class B?
I've taken e and from the effect I got, compared with the effect I've seen people get from lsd (and the like) - I would have thought they were considered a 'harder' drug...

then again I guess classifications really make no sense... tobacco is legal after all...

Ectasy can potentially kill you and has been proven to effect your brain in the long run. LSD, in pure form, can not kill you, and there is nothign that shows long term effects on the brain.

lsd is in the highest category most places.

    as is ecstacy.

the law is reluctant to recognise the medical possibilities of mdma so i doubt they would put it in class B / sced 2

...and stv you're wrong. Ecstasy has never been proven to kill anyone.

uhhh....ecstasy in its pure form is actually really safe. unless your an idiot and overheat. Main problem with E is its often not pure. In order to OD on MDMA you would have to consume so much that your stomach would burst first. Your more likely to die doing something dumb on LSD then die due to pure E

Well... it doesn't matter if it's rare or if it's stupid... the fact is you CAN die from it. I had a friend who died because of the hyperthermia. The amphetamines in it can also mess with people who have heart conditions. I understand it's rare, I'm not arguing as to whether it should or shoudn't be schedule a or b, I'm just stating facts.

Nah dude. The ld50 of mdma is estimated to be about 15mg/kg which doesn't even take into account possible serotonin syndrome issues.

Acid is class A in England, dude!
People can die from water intoxication because they drink too much when on E because they dont want to dehydrate. eg Leah Betts, however I got told the E killed her when I was in school. Lying cunts[IMG]

Yep. And for that reason e should be labeled as a stimulant, since all hallucinogens like LSD are nontoxic and have a virtually infinite LD50.
