It seems to be a natural transition for a lot of people I know...it happened to me too. I went from eating cooked vegan food to eating raw vegan food only. The idea is that you eat food in it's natural state, the way nature intended, the way animals thrive on their food. I intuitively feel raw plant food, and raw fruit and veggies are our ideal foods including some nuts and seeds. Seems hard to think thats all you should eat at first, but I read a book once that had over 250 recipes that were raw and omg delicious! It had raw nut mylks, raw nut cheezes/creams and you can still create crackers (dehydrated) ect... I ate a raw cake made out of raw cacao beans (where chocolate comes from) I almost cried it was so natural, awakening, and primal. The driving force for me to eat raw food was knowing that the living enzymes were still intact, that's the basic difference between raw and cooked. Cooked food has no enzymes and most of the water content is evaporated. Enzymes are life! I then was enlightened to the fact that raw food has a life force (duh) ... that can be seen under Kirlian photography. A raw peice of brocoli has an amazing purple aura...very bright and electrical. But when it was cooked the aura faded into nothingness. I then realized that raw living plant food has a lot going on, it has a life cycle, and contains so many vitamins and minerals that go into our cells that become parts of our own body & that eating cooked or processed food with damaged parts could create a means for disease in our body. I see enzymes that carry nutrients as (information) like little data packets that get absorbed into cells and then they have a job to do....I think there's a difference between the information your cells get from a Blueberry than in a Orio, don't you think? Also, I feel raw food carries a higher, more natural frequency of nature than does tainted cooked food. It's a slight variation, but a noticable one! Cooked food seems very draining on our systems, the dead food seems to passing on the 'death' vibration into our bodies, rather than the "living" vibration we could choose to assimilate. My diet is so radically different from what I grew up with...and I have become a different person because of it. For breakfast I now have a Green Juice...(celery, apple, lemon, spirulina) Delicious! And then I'm hungry again about an hour later and will have a raw muesli, with raw oat groats, grains, dried fruit, fresh banana and honey sweetened almond Mylk. At lunch I dive into a baby green herb salad with lots of leaves, massive amounts of avocado, cashew cheeze that I can make in about five minutes, topped with olives, sundried tomatoes, sprouts, and a yummy lime and chili dressing. I'm so full after that but if I'm hungry I usually make a snack before dinner including a fresh juice of carrot, pineapple, apple and ginger. And will include a plate of some cacao(raw chocolate) or other superfoods such as goji berries, coconut oil...or if I have a lot of superfoods I'm craving I'll throw them all into a smoothie. Dinner time is usually a lot of fresh fruit and a salad. That's it!!! After a few months like this, cooked food smells a bit strange and you wonder why it was so attractive in the first place. And the if you do eat it, oh man you get the wierdest sensation in your gut that you used to think was normal! Detox usually follows after a couple of weeks or months, where you get more coming out than whats going in, which is an excellent sign because all that silt that was in your gut (average about 1-2kg worth) is coming out, it contains lots of toxins and other virus harbouring environments. What I mean about becoming a different person is very significant...you become a force of nature...you follow your bliss so easily, things hardly bother you any more, you feel more connected, you feel love where you never felt it before, you can see auras more clearly, you can taste food for what it is, your body becomes mineralized for the first time, nothing fools you, you know what your purpose is and where you are going. Hair and nails are strong, breath is always fresh, body odor is sweet and musky, almost herbal in scent, teeth become whiter and stronger, skin is more elastic, excess weight is gone, no more acne or skin disorders, headaches and colds are a thing of the past, colors are more vibrant, and theres so much more to rattle on but you have to experience it yourself! I just had to rant and share the magic of Raw food. I hope you are open to try it! EVOLVE
wow, that was really something to think about...thank you! Im vegan. I went pescatarian-vegetarian-vegan...i already eat quite a bit of raw food, but my tummy DOES feel kind of heavy, now you mention it. Maybe i could give a full raw diet a go after ive done some research... I did hear though that while some plants goodness dies with the cooking, others goodness is heightened? I duno ill have to look into it Anyway, thanx for sharing!
why dont you make the next step? C'mon let's take it to another level here. How about you stop eating food all together?
I have to agree with the original poster. I'm trying to include more raw foods and less processed foods into my diet. I'm slowly changing my diet, don't want to go too fast with it. When I was veg, I thought I would never be vegan. pfttt... give up cheese? never! Then I turned vegan. lol. Now I'm moving towards raw foods. Thanks for the interesting post, you seem like a very enlightened individual. Thought I'm not sure if I can make the positive correlation between your diet and 'seeing auras and love', I can understand and I feel the same way, though not necessarily from my diet. You're happy with your lifestyle and that's great. Thanks for the words of advice. I'll have to do more research on raw foods.
That's how it went for me : ) Right in that order too... Only I went vegetarian>vegan>raw>vegetarian. No longer a vegan, though almost 100% of the food I eat is certified organic I'm not 100 percent raw right now but I'm close, and all the cooked food I eat is organic and generally healthy, no fried foods or any cooked oil or anything...and nothing too processed. I usually have a cooked meal at night cuz then I can sleep it off and it seems to be an appropriate time to do that. Lighter meals(fresh juice, smoothies, etc..) during the day help me stay more energized and on top of things. Raw foods and fasting can be potent forces for feeling more spiritually connected, I would definatley have to agree with that. I personally eat more fattier foods most of the time.. even though they are raw, they keep me emotionally stable and not to sensitive to the stranger side of life as I go about my day-to-day life that requires me be more grounded ;P I've definatley gotten pretty tripped out on fasting, and I could see how really cleansing out and sticking to a high raw diet could enhance ones spirituality 10 fold. You are what you eat...What you eat is always influencing your consciousness, whether you realize it or not.. and most people have no concept of that whatsoever because they've never tryed eating something different!!! and I would argue that it's probably one of the biggest things, if not the biggest in the world that effects your consciousness and the way it processes the world...what you eat. http://www.rawfood.com - My fav. source for exotic raw foods like raw chocolate
I love raw food... Have any of you had Larabars? I love them...they are raw fruit bars...DEEELICIOUS!
Man I'm so glad I saw this, I was just thinking about this, it seem's now the only food I enjoy more and more is raw, everything else just seem's like dead weight, even my rice but all is well I guess, I'll have to research it more, the nut cheese sound's interesting, I think I've seen almond at the store, I'l have to give it a go, I find myslef living more and more of salad, adn smoothie's and the strange thing is I'm not dying I'm growing. peace
