What's your favorite store in this state that is either hippy-friendly or caters to some of your more "out-there" interests? I've got a big appreciation for Crazy Wisdom in Ann Arbor.
Ann Arbor has many gems... The Planet being one of them. They have a website, too...google it... The Shamen Drum, 42 Degrees, Stairway to Heaven, InFlight
Like " the station" in Inkster on Michigan Ave. Basically KkoOolL! Ive been to 'Stairway to Heaven' in A.A. uhhhh,,,,,,, thats all I can think of.
Hmm, Ive always been wanting to go to that drum circle at crazy wisdom but never can get a dang ride =\ Does anyone else go?
I'm kinda fond of the Glass Onion in Kzoo, mosly cuz it's just like a small business and shit. I don't know, the people there are really cool and they have some fucking sweet stuff.
I can't remember the name of the place but it's easy to spot in the Midland mall. It's a nice to have a store like this in such a yuppie infested town ran by Dow Chemical
heartsnotfarts, what about Three Doors Down in Pontiac? It's on East Huron Street (M-59) past Telegraph. Nice small business, and the people are cool. Not a large shop by any stretch, but nice for a small store.
We have a small head shop in Holland called Orange. It is family owned and operated. They have pieces, posters, incense, t-shirts, but it is pretty small and the selection isn't huge. It is definitely a nice place. It was named Orange because the owner's favorite color is orange.
There is Su Casa in Lansing, good collection of head shop gear, pipes, papers, vaporizers. They also carry a fine collection of art, jewelry and assorted hippy stuff. Peace...j.b.
The Natural Food Patch in Ferndale Michigan is a great place to get food and cheaper then those corporate chains that cater to yuppies who were once hippies...
