hello there. I really though we should have a thread for those of us dealing with the grief of losing a pet, so i made one....

Today, my 7 year old tabby cat died. He had diabetes and we need not know it. I'm very distraught. It's hard to come to the door, and he's not there. I miss him so much.

Feel free to share your feelings too, and we can all help each other...

I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty cat. It's always really hard to lose a pet because they become family and best friends, as cliched as that may sound. I've had a couple dogs end up dead, but when "my" dog died I was heartbroken; my heart/chest actually ached. I still miss him terribly and I keep 3 pictures of him in my room and his collar. Not much I can say to make you feel better but I understand how it is to really miss your friend, even if it's just a "pet"

I am so sorry. We recently had our dog of 15 years die and we just took turns crying for days and days and days. Not much one can say really to make it feel better. It is a process of loss you have to go through. You need to grieve. I am so sorry for your loss and hope you have some beautiful photos and memories to hold onto.
