So I finally got my college roommates into the good herb. But they're a bit concerned with the inherent lung damage that comes with any kind of smoking. Also it's a bitch to go all the way out into the woods for a smoke in the blistering Central New York winter just to avoid getting narc'd. Baking is out of the question, as is something like bhang, because preparation would stink up the dorm too much. Any other simple ways of preparing cannabis for eating?

Here's the best method I've found: But doing that every time you want to get high would be a pain in the ass so I'd go with a vape. You can even make one out of a lightbulb for the time being.
So I'm probably going to make myself sound like an idiot here but.. An ex of mine had this thing that i *think* was called a vapo-buddy. Or something like that. It was the same concept as a vaporizer...sort of. I just tried to explain it but it made absolutely no sense when i tried. Maybe someone else has heard of this? The smoke was minimal and the smell was non-existant. Not to mention the high was freaking amazing...
Ok its not a vapobuddy its a vaporgenie (http://www.vaporgenie.com/). His must have been a knock off b/c it was red and im pretty sure it was not made of wood. It was also more streamlined and less "bubbly". It was awesome though, I very much liked it.
Yes, that's the same concept of a vaporizor but it utilizes a lighter as its energy source instead of electricity. Obviously it's not going to be quite as efficient, although it is portable. If you're going to be smoking indoors most of the time, I would say go with an electric powered one, the investment will pay for itself in the respect that it will use much less weed, even than the vaporgenie, and you won't be constantly running through lighters, which the vaporgenie kills off rather quickly. If you're the stoner on the go, I'd say give the vaporgenie a shot.
With microwaving, does that make much of a smell? A vaporizer would be amazing. Not a financial possibility right now though.
It smells, but it's not very strong and I doubt anyone would recognize it as weed, it goes away really quickly tho.
your almost completely safe using a vaporizer, just make a spoof too just to be sure..or you could smoke in the showers let it steam up and blow into the vents
