That word alone seems to envoke just a rush of emotions from so many people, even those who have never been raped in the literal sense. Maybe its because the word rape carries more then just a meaning, it carries sorta of an electric vibe i supose. Next time your at the mall yell 'I smell CHICKEN!' Then look around to see how many people take notice, and also observe the look on there face. Then move to the opposite side of the mall and yell 'stop trying to RAPE me!' and observe. Notice that rape seems to send a much stronger signal as the sounds you have made carrys through the air, it also carries that electric vibe that will make a person go from mindlessly walking threw a mall, to an alert, concerned and ready to act person.
