datura IS a houseplant, and one thats very easy to find.

why not? its gorgeous, exotic, has wonderful fragrant blossoms. most people don't know about its potential, or how its also deadly poisonous.

if you want to try it, be my guest, but i dont think its a good idea. in fact i think its rediculously stupid, but what business of mine is it?

this is common. any "ethnobotanical" website likely carries dried foliage or seeds, many major seed companies will sell seeds for various tropane baring plants.

they vary wildly in potency, so be damn careful if you decide to proceed.

 

as far as i'm aware you're correct. i remember reading a story like in the past couple of years, and have always remembered it. i am not aware whether or not it may be a rumor though and have been unable to find any news articles myself (not that i've looked for very long though)

from 1 plant 300 seeds may not do a damn thing, anjd an entirly identivcle plant right next to it might have seeds so potent that 2 seeds can kill...
thrre is no safe way to mess with this plant..
if you try, be prepared to trip through hell or die...
the trips so horrible you'll wish you did die

Yeah, I've actually done jimson weed and it's not a good drug at all. Ended up going to the ER, and my best friend stayed in the ICU for the whole weekend. Don't even remember much about the actual trip, so it's not reccomendable in the least bit.

Well, I just read two reports that said that they were eye-opening, and although they did not particulary "enjoy" it or want to do it again, they have somewhat of an "awe" towards the plant now.. and you can learn things about yourself from bad experiences, too, right?
