Nobody knows how long you can keep a boiled cactus preparation without it going bad?

Ive seen nothing about that in my research. Mescaline will not degrade stored for long term, or in refrigerator. However, plant material is just like any food. How long can you keep tomato juice or orange juice in the refrigerator? After boiling anything for 4-10 hours it is quite sterile, so equivalently pasteurized. I kept mine in refrigerator for a week. No source discussed this though, and all of them by context appeared to consume their sample shortly after production.

Thanks a lot. This will be the first time ive tried cactus, and I was worrying it would go bad if I let it sit for a week.

Well, I placed mine in hot jars and tightened the lids down real good (effectively canning it) and the seals of the jars popped down, so I'm assuming this was a pretty decent way to store it. I might freeze it, too. Right now the jars are in the fridge.
