damn the 80's was kind of superficial was it not? Not one thing on my list had any substance.

I was born in November 1989, so there's probably not a lot I can miss about it, lol.

I remember eating lady bugs, coloring in a batman coloring book, and throwing up on a plane going from Germany to New Jersey. out of all those I probably miss that coloring book the most.

I remember mixed tapes. I had the sweetest boyfriend in junior high who used to make them for me. I would say I loved him more than any adult relationship I've had

I was definitely not in with the 80's trends - a bit of an outcast actually, from 4th grade on everyone was like what's the deal with the kid wearing tye-dyed shirts and who the heck is the grateful dead.

Hence, why I said the biggest thing to me in the 80's was Brent Mydland.

I think you had to be there. It's not just the music, there's a whole sub-culture attached. You might think differently about them if you had been to a Dead show.

This true for many, but not all. For some, it has been and always will be about their music.
