i also thought of anothrr silly but perhaps egffective protest .. go to kfc buy every last lil bit of deasd bird they had in stock, (leavin all the hungry ppl standin in like for nothin but biscuites or salads) then take it all outside & cerimoniasly give it a decent burial, ..or hey how bout we just put up a banner with something like ..why is it people get upset over 10 human deaths in a far away war zone that they had nothing at all to do with, yet so easily ignore 60 million murders a day of innocent chickens, that they personaly helped support with each and every bite ..i dunno that needs work & i need coffee..lol

Hey, I am loving those ideas. I could go for a nice bladder release in KFC . Honestly, though, the other ideas are great. The first one is great, also, but I am sure you are right about getting arrested. Well, I'll take your advice about talking to people over in my neck of the woods about constructing a protest. I am a bit sickened over the mass killing of animals, weather it be or food supply, or any form of euthanasia. While I'm not really a Vegetarian or Vegan [I'd like to be ..one day], I think it's sad that an animal [chicken] [cow] [etc] is born just to fill our bellies, and it isn't like it's healthy, mass slaughter and consumption of these animals is not healthy. It should also be noted that the animals are often tampered with, they are fed a "special" diet to taste a certain way, they're completely bred with money and consumption in mind. Watching someone be executed has made me ANTI Capital Punishment, so finding out what they do to animals that you see in the grocery store, is [more then] enough for me to not want to consume meat. Vegan nation? hm. That'd be cool. I just don't 'dig' the whole "vegan bacon" "vegan burgers" etc. If I want to NOT eat meat, why must I have to consume things that imitate meat based products? That's stupid. Why can't they just give us the raw products? Fresh fruits, vegetables, maybe vitamins, but why "vegan bacon"? That implies that you can't live without bacon, so you need to fool your body without the actual pig meat!

Why must they do these things to animals? I think this is even worse than genocide! And look at it from their POV: I am born, I am drugged, I am purposely misfed so that my meat tastes better, and then I'm slaughtered ... what a life! It sounds like an episode of The Twilight Zone!

hey, i'd so go with you if i didn't live on the other side of the world from you. I never been to a animal rights protest either but wanted to go ever since i became a veg just dont have anyone to go with me. im the only veggie passionate about animal rights that i know lol. and i'm not brave enough to go by myself. but i'd like to one day. anyway who cares what people say its animals that we are doing this for after all

 

I'm a vegetarian from reading Fast Food Nation earlier this year.

Eating meat isn't bad if you are starving, but obviously we're not and we have options. Not to mention, we shouldn't be eating meat with random hormones!
I eat meat but only the free-range raised chicken at chipotle- when I crave meat.

The problem is that when they make the veggie meat, they still call it chicken when it tastes nothing like it.
The trick to eating it is not to think of it as a burger and they really don't taste too bad.
I'm a vegetarian but I'm still with crud, we should just have more raw products that taste like what they are.

I'd love to protest...but I'll stick to just educating my school...
