Does any one else deal with this? I noticed for the past few months that i haven't been able to sleep. I'm not sure why because I'm never stressed or have bad dreams. I;'ve always been a social smoker and usally smoked a few times a week but since i couldn't sleep I started smoking a bowl every night just before bed to make me sleepy and it worked! I was able to fall alseep easily but my lungs were starting to feel the wear from smoking extra. So i quit smoking every night and now only a few times a week again but I'm unable to sleep and have lost tons of weight. any advice?
I used to have a terrible case of insomnia, and I never knew why. It lasted for years, and I'm hardly ever stressed out, so I couldn't come up with a valid reason. Though I still don't know what controls this, it eventually subsided and now I can get to sleep just five minutes after my head touches the pillow. I don't have any experience with substance use of any kind, so I can't say about that one... but the insomnia could just be an odd phase of some sort. I cured mine by going to sleep with music on, but everybody's different. Good luck!
Try listening to one of those insomnia/ guided meditation for sleep cds. Those help a lot. Peace and love
yer i never sleep with out a tutor or spliff. even with that its hard.... its like my bodys well tierd but my brain just keeps on going. looking at the clock now its 2.30 in the morning and all i want to do is sleep. *huff* sorry i dont have any advice to help you just saying you aint the only one.
i have bouts of insomnia that reoccur every few weeks or so. I really don't do anything besides have a bowl about an hour or two before sleep. I used to be unable to sleep without the tv on, but now I can't sleep with it on anymore. Turning it off at night helps me sleep now. It wasn't stress for me either cuz im the chillest mufucker you know.... but i really don't know. try reading before bed. Some Thoreau will put you down for sure...
Solution: Stayup allnight Stayup allday Sleep at like 8pm, then you'll get into the habit of waking up early.
i've found that i need some sound, like a heater, or a fan, or some really sparse music played low to fall asleep.
No shit. Does that really work? Whenever I have it's always made me feel really uncomfortable in the morning and so therefore by accident.
darkness some soothing background noise, not enough to really listen to but to block out any abrupt noises like a cat meowing on the road do nothign in your bed except sleep and fuck do you end up thinking alot and thats what keeps you up? thats usually my problme so i focus on the blackness of my eyelids, just stare and let my brainw ash up images as it wants to bu ttry hard not to think of the next day or stories or anything like that if nothign esle go find some herbal sleeping aids, something with valerian root. thats what i use on nights i really cant sleep and need to. they make you drowsy but it wares off within an hour or two so its enough to make you go to sleep but not he kind that you feel like shit if you dont get a full 8 hours of sleep in for
aint nothing wrong anit nothing write but still i sit and lie awake alll night < i can dig it ive had trouble sleeping my whole life at night and its a bitch. usley doing something productive all day helps to relieve stress but sometimes your body and mind still want to do something and wouln't let you pass out. I think the main problem though is sleeping by yourself you can tell your partner o damn ive had a shity day blah blah blah and next thing you know you can pass out peace.
most people experience insomnia at some point in their lives, and there could be any number of causes. i myself can only sleep for 45 min. to an hour at a time due to post traumatic stress disorder. sometimes it helps if i put on a movie that i've seen several times. i can close my eyes and listen and still know what's going on and i usually fall asleep fairly quickly. also, there are several over the counter "sleep aids" out there, but i'm really not into those kinds of pharmaceuticals, smoking a bowl helps too, but i try not to use that as a sleep aid very often
Every morning at 3 I wake up. I don't know why because I take Ambien CR for bipolar disorder. I don't know what to do. I don't smoke weed b/c I'm Buddhist. What can I do? Peace and love
There are a couple things that will help: Avoid caffeine - too much caffeine is the number one cause of insomnia. Get a regular schedule - try to get used to going to bed and getting up at the same time every day. Don't use your bed for anything but sleeping (its best if you don't use the entire room for anything but sleeping). Get more excercise during the day (but not within a couple hours of going to bed). Those should help.
1. I don't drink caffiene or eat chocolate. 2. Changing my schedule hasn't helped. 3. I live in a dorm, so my bedroom is my only room. 4. Sleep aids aren't helping, klonopin isn't helping, so it's time to call the Doc. Maybe she'll give me some insights that I can share with you. Peace and love
I have terrible insomnia but I usually sleep if some one is there with me to cuddle I say find a cuddle buddy! it really does help
