i havent made any friends... not with anyone from the UK, i did chat to someone but they were very different from how they seemed.

It is true that Hipforums has become deserted. There is nothing really fresh going on. Still it is nice to see some people still hanging on like a piece of fruit stuck to a tree.

 

Well last year there were no posts for about 8 months... it's still finding its feet again, but is infinitely better than it was. Obviously it will take a long time for this place to fully recover, it was a thriving online community for several years and that just got completely killed off.

It's great to see so many new people coming through, anywhere can seem a bit cliquey where there are regular posters who "know" each other, it's unavoidable, but hopefully everyone new feels welcome to jump in...

Well I'm back on here intermitantly, the thought of being on a UK only hippy forum seems a little odd. I've made some great friends from different countries on here, and it allows for the forums to be more diverse

I kind of like how things just tick over here...I remember when I first joined and how small it was then. I feel the fresh shoots of spring are rising, and more people are chilling out here

 

I have stuck around. Occationally lurking around.

At one point I pronounced this forum dead. I must of summoned a black cat of death or something but well you know, it seems as though there are people who have moved on from the internet.


I think there are some who have become minimalists.

Paul asked me to convey his best wishes to everyone, and to say goodbye to his friends on here on his behalf. I think he wants to get away from the world of the internet, and he asked me to ban him so that he avoids the temptation to return. Alas, I've had to decline his second request as it'd be a shame if he were to wander off into the sunset and never return. It's always good to see him popping his head round the door, and something tells me he'll be back someday. In the words of the man himself...
