From what I've been able to gather, there are quite a few job openings at the moment, both in Fargo and in Moorhead.

Truth be told, I'm in Fargo, but they're basically the same city...

hows the lifestyle up there? is fargo/moorhead pretty diverse? do they have alot of places for heady hippie types? are they dicks about ganj up there? is it easy to find and is it good quality? i like the fact that moorhead is only 30,000ppl.. i was lookin at Detroit Lakes also.. but it seems a bit too small for me.. 9000ppl... i dunno.. i just like the fact that there are a shit ton of water up there to fish.. including the Red River.. which is absolutely amazing

a couple more questions.. is there alot to do in moorhead and fargo? or are they just two big cities with nothing really going on? is it a fast-paced city? or pretty chill?

As far as the fishing goes, you wanna stay away from the Red River. That thing is just nasty polluted, unfortunately.

It's an extremely laid back place, but there's still plenty to do... As far as the ganja sitiation, I can't tell you for sure what it's like now, I quit a while back, but back then it was pretty awesome. We always had some pretty awesome canadian stuff. Quite good... And everyone is extremely laid back about it as well.

I live in moorhead..actually its just a myth that the red river is dirty.. its actually very clean, jsut very muddy so it looks gross.....

it is boring as hell here... there are plenty of shows though, its mostly local music that comes through not too many big bands, modest mouse, galactic, brother ali were here nto too long ago, there are two frisbee golf courses that are pretty nice the laws in minnesota are much more relaxed then in north dakota and there's usually pretty steady supply of smoke duringthe school year, there seems to usually be a drought midway through summer but since 10k is so close you can always cruise there to get hooked up. If you know the right people you can get a lot of very tasty west coast stuff... if not its pretty much standard canadian beasters

personally i moved here 6 years ago to go to school and can't wait to be done so I can leave

I don't know why, but I always think it's kind of neat when I come across people online (with similar interests and whatnot) who live in the same area as I do.

Hi....I realize the last post on this thread is a couple of months old, but I thought I'd say hi anyway. I lived in Moorhead for a few years, but it ended up getting too big for me. Now I live about 40 miles southeast of the FM area. Moorhead is a great atmosphere I thought. It's just like any other city....you have to make it work for you. :)

There are a few great bars and hangouts...and I've been impressed lately with the music that has been coming there. No big name bands...but the jam band scene in the tri-state area is pretty amazing. Lots of those get up there. :) And just my little advertising plug...10,000 Lakes Festival outside of Detroit Lakes, MN is one of the most spectacular events I've ever attended. Everyone should try to make it if they can.....it's coming up soon. :)
