    http://www.davidsuzuki.org/NatureChallenge/

I went to a David Suzuki speech tonight and I'm feeling really optimistic at the moment. Just read this over, and please please join. It's not a big deal, but if everyone even starts with this it will makew such a difference. And if we can get a million people to sign up it will really give alot of sway when its presented to the politcians who need those million peoples votes. This is a really important time for the environmental policies in Canada(and the world.)

    Please read it over.

no. the point is to challenge yourself and do something that cuts back...I do almost all of those things alreadys, but if you choose something a little harder for yourself it's going to be really effective in the grand scale.

won't cows clog our street and snarl the traffic like they do in india if we don't eat them?

No. Where do you see wild cows anymore? I would be surprised if they actually live wildly anywhere in America.

Cows arent killed for population control, they are bred and raised in inhumane ways for inhumane slaughter.

There's no way a cow could survive in the wild. Any instinct has been bred out of them, along with any common sense they could possibly have possessed in the first place... So, if we cut down on beef consumption, we cut down on demand, which cuts down on the population, thereby reducing the need for feedlots, which would then reduce runoff pollution of water tables...

I think some cows are more intelligent than some people...regardless of having their wild food instincts in tact or not.

Yep, all over farm country. Now and then a cow just "goes wild" and heads off into the scrub timber and "verge areas". If you don't think they're really wild, try to catch one ... but make sure your life insurance is paid up first.

Besides, hasn't anyone here seen "Lonesome Dove"? :jester:
