I have read that DMT is a very strong Psychedelic, stronger than even LSD! The hallucinations on DMT or reported to be actual extensions of reality, and not just modifications of reality like on LSD, Shrooms, ect. There have even been reports of people hallucinating having intercourse with aliens! What are other notable differences. Obviously the trip is shorter, especially when smoked. Speaking of smoked DMT......do you smoke DMT in its freebase pure form or do you smoke DMT when it is inside a plant (thus smoking the DMT-containing plant)? How is the DMT experience different from the LSD experience, shrooms experience, mescaline experience, ect.? Do you think it is more powerful and do you like it more?
A very powerful psychedelic that can be smoked. Its effects are reported to be more intense than that of LSD, though the trip is a lot shorter. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimethyltryptamine http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/dmt/
Ayahuasca is probably the way to go if you want a DMT experience. When you add the maoi vine in, it adds a better character to the experience. However, even the way you make the ayahuasca (rue instead of vine) can change the effects as well.
dmt is the pinnacle of the psychedelics, in terms of intensity. I've been fascinated with it (without ever having done it) since 95, and am pretty fortunate to have corresponded with dr. richard strassman while living in NM, to get some insights on the psyche (even sent me a 2004 research paper on the anxiolytic properties of low dosages of DMT). It's one of the most fascinating compounds known to man, imho.
I'm pretty sure that if you were to smoke DMT, then you would need the freebase form. As far as going the ayahuasca route, be prepared to drink one of the most vile tasting substances on the planet, and you can rest assured that you will purge forcefully and be left with a 3-5 hour hellishly intense peak if you properly dose. Here is my experience with ayahuasca from a few years ago when I didn't really have the respect for this ancient sacrament that I should of.
I tried DMT and then I tried 2c-b, then HBWR. All of these drugs are very different. DMT has always just been a mix between utter anxiety and euphoria. It really makes me stressed. My brain is going a mile a minute. What I like the most about it is that you can't move (easily), when you are on it so you can't chew out your cheeks because you think you have new teeth growing in them (like my friend did on his first time with acid). DMT is very extreme. If you take it at a lower dosage you feel light headed and laugh a ton. The best way to describe it is if you get EXTREMELY high on very heady weed... it feels like that, but where marijuana feels muddy, DMT feels super sharp and clear. DMT is like a million different thoughts hitting your brain all at once. But then again, I have never taken a super high dose. HBWR (probably like acid) felt smooth and flowing, where DMT was edgy, sharp and quickly switching. That's the biggest difference. Things just seem to melt and flow on HBWR, that doesn't happen on DMT. This applies to the visuals and to feeling. DMT is more sudden. My friend tried shrooms and said they were fairly similar, except DMT was more intense and gave him the feeling of anxiety/overload. He also said shrooms were more similiar to 2c-b, and like I said earlier 2C-B for me was absolutely nothing like DMT (even in a low dose). Go figure. Of course when I compare the drugs, I'm talking about mild doses of DMT and high doses of 2C-B etc. DMT's "max" dose creates simply mind blowing experiences and ego-death, unlike 2C-Bs recommended "max" dose.
