I think I am personally better for it but it certiantly differs for each person so I am saying that in regards to myself. so what is new in TV world, I am simply curious despite my lack of interest in actually watching anything. The simpsons still in there never ending decline? Family guy still any good? Is lost still on? are they on season 3 now? I dunno..like I said, I never really watched tv.
Growing up, the TV was on in my house 24/7. My dad still has the tv on all the time, he can't sleep without it. I used to watch some TV before I came to India. Actually more than some. If I was home and not sleeping, the TV was probably on. But here, we don't have TV. I've been in India for 7 months and have watched TV TWO TIMES, when I was staying in hotels. It was fun for like 10 minutes. My husband grew up without TV and it was scary seeing him glued to it at the hotel, laughing automatically and not hearing me when I talked to him. I am happier without TV. I read books and stuff like that. Sometimes I miss watching documentries. And movies. No NetFlix here lol.
I don't watch much TV either. I have better things to do. I might catch a few minutes of a show if someone is in the living room with the TV on, but I usually walk away and do something else.
TV free for almost 10 months now! I do so much more in my spare time now it's not even funny. I do miss the Daily Show, discovery, etc.. but it is so much better. Movies are where it's at now when I have to watch something and veg. The only problem is that I am a Communications major and we always talk about tv in class. I do kind of provide a fresh perspective sometimes during projects we do because of this, so it's all good
I think they are closed now, but I'll call the Nobel Prize Committee first thing in the morning. N, Kay? . . .
TV sucks ass most of the time. I haven't watched TV in a very long time, and I don't care if I ever really watch it much again. I'd rather get up and do something.
definitely a good thing to quit watching tv. now that is definitely an addiction. i have noticed my parents are surrounding by it during the weekends. i try not to watch too much. if anything it's movies but even then i try not to watch too many. books are really where it's at. =)
some shows are really good. i dont know if ray mears bushcraft is on around the world, but that show really made me think.but i am cutting down on tv, its bad for ya. http://www.guardian.co.uk/weekend/story/0,3605,975769,00.html
I like seinfeld and southpark. Usually I only watch if I'm at my parents and really high and lazy/don't feel like writing. If I get a "dumb" high then I'll watch seinfeld or southpark reruns maybe some aqua teen, but other than that I don't watch it at all. Nothing is ever on.
I don't watch television, except for the weather. I probably watch no more than 1-2 hours per week total, if that. Television is one of the most effective forms of mind control ever devised. It got really bad with the invention of the remote control, because then people didn't even have to get up to change the channel. They could remain in their TV-induced trance.
i started downloading pirated movies an tv show seasons. just family guy and some southpark. (300 kicks ass, gettin the hills have eyes2 now) the only reason i still have a tv is for the playstation.
