Firstly the Internet Television is going to eat up your bandwidth. The Internet Television is a good idea for those who have an uncapped account or can afford more accounts, but good idea tho...
I've had a TV card for years. I know it isn't the same thing. Until we get some REAL 3D tech, I probably won't try ITV.
That link prompted me to install something I already have installed. Quicktime player. I smell something funny.
Although this thread may be a link to some crappy web page (ie. SPAM), the two mediums, Television and the Internet have begun the long overdue merge. This is the next phase of technological evolution. youtube is getting the most credit for opening the door to online video, but the hardware and media delivery companies such as Apple with the launch of their wireless iTV player in conjunction with iTunes will be the ones to lead the way. However, some progressive broadcast networks already provide some of their most popular programming in both mediums. Interactivity and personalization are still on the horizon while bandwidth remains a major obstacle to be reckoned.
I'd never use it - why watch the tv when all it is - is a bunch of advertising with some dumb ass programme stuck in the middle? I cant handle watching normal TV cuz of all the adverts that I'm supposed to sit through and watch like a zombie. Soon as the adverts appear I channel surf and then get caught up in another program - miss the first one and then when the adverts appear again I'm off to a new channel - nah - sit through 15 minutes of adverts for one hours worth of dull and boring TV? no way - whydya think they invented the internet? so we could choose to block advertising altogether
