Hmm, I'm interested in the Norcal vs. Socal.

 

I think NorCal won, but I haven't gotten to that article yet. I just skimmed over it a bit. I like to read a section with every smoke session.

 

i make vapes all the time at school becuase it hardly smells so theres no chance of getting caught, even though they look pretty sketch they get you blazed

 

So what is your status on getting a vape Digital? Any of this info seem new to you at all?

my friend here at school has a vape, and i dont really like smoking it. Its a different high than what actually smoking gets me, and it always knocks me out and gives me couchlock. ill smoke it if its too cold to go outside and smoke, but usually ill choose smoking anything else over the vape. The only time i do like smoking the vape is when im drunk, cuz then it kind of wakes me up and gives me an energetic high, i dunno maybe im just weird. but some positives are that it definitely doesnt smell much so we can smoke in the dorms, it conserves weed, and its much better for your lungs. i dont know what kind of vape he has, its definetly not a volcano, but it cost like 130 so its at least a decent one. hope that was of some help to you...

i got a vaporwarez about a month ago, the thing is amazing. it cost 160 (150 plus ten extra bucks for a decent magnetized metal grinder), which is a hell of a lot less than a volcano, but somehow I'm thinking money isnt an issue, when your dropping 500+ on sushi. to be honest though, this works just as good as a volcano, which I've used only a few times at a friends house. its not as easy to use, because you cant just turn it on and let it do the rest. it takes a little while to get the perfect technique down; you'll probably get it good on your first hit, without burning it or anything, but after a while you can get hits off of weed that a lot of people would consider to be fully vaped out, which is just awesome. but I'll vouch for this, just because so far its been great.

i´m vaping with the Volcano as I type this, and i gotta say, i have never once regretted throwing down about $440 for it. i got it off ebay for $405 "slightly used" with about $40 for shipping (pretty much all the way across the US).

during the first couple of months of having it, i realized that i couldnt vape all the time because it got me too high. just the other day, i vaped at 11:00am and was still pretty high at 7:00pm when i was leaving work.

here are the benefits i´ve noticed:

-you use less weed to get 5x as high

-you can scrape the resin off of the metal plunger thing that goes in the "bowl," as well as from the inside of the valve itself. i´ll use a paper clip and pretty much "wipe" it off and smear it on a chunk of weed, then smoke it. it will fuck you up.

-you can save the vaporized weed to make cannabutter. the first time i did this, i forgot to weigh it out before hand to see how much i had so i cant really give any figures. i used the butter to make a cake and after eating 3 fairly large pieces, i had a decent high going. the cake tasted like how the vapor resin smells. currently, i´ve been saving every last bit since May 2006 and i have a glass peanut butter jar almost 80% full, which is about 3-4 times as much as i had used before. a jar full of every kind of weed that myself and all of my friends have had during the past 9-10 months, ground up. not surprisingly, it kinda smells like peanut butter (due to the jar). with the next butter i´ll be making, i plan to give it all away. whatever food i make will be free to all my friends since it´s everyone´s weed. it´s kinda cool to still have a little bit of EVERY kind of weed you had throughout the past year or so, assuming you vaporized it.

-if you´re hard up for fresh weed, you can re-vape the stuff you´ve been saving. and it will still get you as high as you would be from using fresh stuff. no joke. i only did this for a couple of weeks so as to not use up more THC that would take away from the to-be-made cannabutter. i just used a little more than usual and set it at a higher temperature. actually, the weed i´m vaping with right now is from yesterday and it´s definitely working like a charm. i think i had to stop vaping it yesterday because i got too high.
i really dont recommend smoking the vaped weed because it´s pretty gross. all dried out and brown (not burnt, though).

-since you should DEFINITELY be using a nice grinder to break up your weed so it can vaporize properly, you´ll most likely have one with a screen in it to collect keef. i barely even have to touch weed anymore with my fingers which saves on lost trichomes. i know the difference is marginal, but when talking about efficiency, it´s an important aspect. vaporizing with keef - even just a little bit sprinkled on some ground up weed - is almost too much for me. i kinda freaked out the one time i did it.

-the healt benefit. if you´re sick with a bad sore throat, vaporizing will NOT irritate your throat as much, if at all. and it´s way easier on your lungs. there´s no "smoked out" feeling. if you go from being straight-up sober to vulcanizing (as a friend calls it), you will feel so much better. and the fact that the high lasts ridiculously long with such a clean, clear feeling... well, you know what i mean.

-if you´re vaping just by yourself, you can still chill out with it for a while because the vapor wont go stale as fast in the bag, if at all (i use the extra-large size Reynolds Turkey Oven Bags). during the course of 30 min. or more, i´ll only fill up two bags and then be done. you could definitely vape it more, so that´s why i´ll use it again a day later or something. but most often i´ll just put it in the PB jar and make the cannabutter that much stronger.

-it´s easy to clean with Everclear (95% alcohol) or something else equally as strong. doing this regularly vastly improves the taste, as does changing the bags every so often (before you start seeing resin building up in the bag or before it starts sticking together a lot on the inside)


with the Volcano, you´re essentially squeezing every last drop of THC (et al) from the buds. it´s the most efficient way to get high, in my opinion. i´ve only used one other vaporizer so my experience is limited. but i´ve been so impressed with the Volcano for all the reasons mentioned above that i know i made the right choice. a lot of my friends wont vape with me because they have important shit to do soon and they cant function well when that high. you know that you´ve got a great "smoking" device when people laugh when they see you bring it out and then decline to participate because they "dont wanna get that high."

think about it - YOU CAN GET HIGH FIVE TIMES OVER FROM THE SAME WEED: vaporizing it, smoking the vapor-resin, re-vaporizing it if you want, cooking with it, and smoking/vaporizing the trichomes from your grinder. it just keeps on giving and giving!
