birth control pill? I seriously doubt it. although recent pills are synthetic, the testing is still questionable. that's going to need to be your personal decision. I'd not take a mix that didn't work because I was veg*an. I'd find a complete option (and I did).
use the fertility method...i forget exactly what its called but your only fertile @ certain times of the month + you can learn to ID which times those are.
I think males can refrain from telling woman how to manage their fertility. try suggesting, rather than telling.
LOL! I think he meant the Fertility Awareness Method (which is NOT the Rhythm Method BTW!) Lazysunbird - if you would like to look into a natural, animal-free way of birth control then I suggest you take a look at Toni Weschler's book Taking Charge Of Your Fertility (I should get paid for all the publicity I give this book!). It's fantastic imho!
I have never taken the pill, for reasons mentioned above, but i also believe it to very very unnatural..that doesn't go along w/ my lifestyle....how weird....i also have this theory that we have increased breast cancer due to women willingly swollowing hormones.....most women are more fertile 14 days after the first day of their period...
I stopped taking the pill & went back to gold ol' fashioned condoms over a year ago because it just felt unnatuarl and it can have many negative side effects. Plust I just tend not to trust pharmaceutical companies and wasn't sure what the animal testing record was. Like Rar said, it just didn't fit with my lifestyle... It also didn't seem like a good idea to be on a pharmaceutical for several years at a time. Condoms suck but they work.
the pill isn't vegan but neither is supporting a child you can't afford/aren't redy for/don't want. It's impossible to be completely vegan so do your best. Also, check out your local health department. "Freegan" pills if you qualify
I recently heard somthing about condoms not being vegan. I was told that they have casien in them. However, I still use them. Though I try to use animal products as little as possible, I know that using that minimal amount of casien is way better than becoming pregnant. As for the pill, I've considered using it, but the idea of swallong hormones everyday kind of scares me... (though I have had to take hormonal pills before, since I've need EC a few times...)
