saturday night live- arcade fire

have you ever heard of the arcade fire? they were on last night on snl

 

never heard of them. were they good? what do they do? any juggling?

just trying to resurrect a rapidly dying thread.

I stayed up to watch just because Rainn Wilson was hosting. Arcade Fire wasn't bad, but I had never heard of them before.

 

I heard them for the first time on SNL last night and thought they were really good. I made a thread about them last night in the Music forum.

I liked the music, but I thought the part where he smashed his guitar was kind of lame since it's been done so many times before.

I liked the first song much better than the second.

They are from Montreal, so it makes sense why they sound a bit like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, who are also from Montreal.

 

I taped SNL last night and I'm gonna watch it tonight so I'll keep an ear out.

 

I first heard them 3 years ago while living in Ohio... a friend said "hey.. check this out, they are Canadian too".

thought the first CNN sketch about Anna Nicole was pretty freaking funny

 

I like their music, though I never watch snl anymore and didn't know they were on... My brother sent me some mp3's of their stuff a few months ago, he lives in Montreal so I guess that's how he heard of them.

 

Well, I watched the tape last night and I liked them.

Lots of people and instruments in that band.

 

yep. i like them. im thinking about getting the cd...its pay day!

 

i like them alot. they were good on snl. neon bible comes out next week. should be really good
