my friend dropped my glass pipe today and broke it. fortunately it broke where the stem meets the bowl and only into those two pieces. i ran to walmart and got some glass epoxy and stuck it back together. is that epoxy going to be dangerous when i smoke out of the pipe again? like fumes or anything? i plan on washing the pipe thoroughly before i even try to use it, just to get the epoxy resin out of there, but wasn't sure if it would still be dangerous. it says it's non-toxic but could possibly irritate skin. also non-flammable so i won't spontaneously combust when i light it
yer, i surely hope he at least paid for the epoxy. it doesnt matter if hes your friend, its courtousy and respect that he does. anyway, if its inflamable, then its msot likely not going to give off flames. a bit like perspex. but its hard to say, especially with epoxy's. why didnt you jsut ask the poeple at the hardware store? does it give off fumes, normally or when exposed to heat.
yeah he bought the epoxy and paid me some for the bud he smoked, but i told him not to worry about the pipe, i know he's strapped for cash and i got it on sale for only 20 dollars anyway. besides, we were high and it was an accident, i didn't even really realize that my piece was broken until i was putting everything away. i washed the pipe inside and out after the epoxy dried and i'm about to rinse it out again with some hot water, then i'm going to try it out. hopefully i don't die :H
