The next president will be a tool of the powers that put them in power.

All I ask is that the Pres. be blond. They're smarter than the other kind.

The next president will be Queen Condoleeza I, the anointed successor of Emperor G Dumbya Bush. Rotsa ruck with Condy. We'll need it.

My opinion is that because a lot of people are not too happy with GWB, the odds are that the next president will be a Democrat. That is unless Hillary is the candidate. I think Condoleeza is more electable as far as a woman candidate goes and I do think American voters are ready to embrace a woman, just not Hillary. But something tells me neither lady will actually run even though it would be one hell of an election with two ladies... oops... that would be one lady plus Hillary.

This is only my opinion... it is not necessarily an indication of which party I would LIKE to win.

i would put the odds at 70 percent democrat, 25 percent republican, and arround 5 percent for anything else. also about 85% that they will still, if not be handpicked by the corporatocracy, still require to some degree its blessing, whatever cloak of idiology they get packaged in.

i do have hopes for something a little out of the ordinary. people waking up enough to vote the congress that they did this past november suggests the time is hear for another jfk or at least jimi carter. perhapse the reverend al sharpton or someone else as unexpected. hillary is certainly keeping herself in the public eye, and even bad publicity might be a little bit good for her. as long as people don't associate her too closely with bussiness as usual, which, unfortunately, she doesn't seem to be giving anyone enough reason not to. so she's by no means a shoe in.

i can't immagine anyone WANTING another republican right away for this next term, but that hasn't proven much in the past. i could never immagine anyone who had any experience of them voting for either raygun or either of the bushes, even once, let alone twice.

so i don't have a whole lot of faith in my own powers of prediction on that score. but the times do feel right for an opportunity for, well i don't know if anyone really understands what i mean by another jfk. someone, what the pundits call a dark horse, someone who doesn't have a very visible to most of the country political track record, is realitively young or young thinking, for the job, and comes from a not entirely usual cultural background. all of which would generaly describe jfk's surprissing winning of the democratic nomination and then the presidency before he did.

Democrat, I hope. And, I further hope (at this point, with the info. we have a present), that next president is Barack Obama. I'm still reading about the various Dem candidates, but Barack seems like the best to me...

I think Republican Congressman Ron Paul has a decent chance ... Paul ran as the Libertarian Presidential Candidate in 1988 and while not well known to the public at large (YET) ... he does have a following among Libertarians, Consitutionalists, Republicans, the Republican Liberty Caucus, small government advocates, NH "Freestaters", etc...

    Check out his website http://www.ronpaul.org/
Click on "Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Exploratory Committee", then "Latest News" which will take you to a recent interview on Lou Dobbs' program.

Paul gets right to the heart of the matter and is worth keeping an eye on.

BTW, Michael Badnarik, the 2004 Libertarian Party candidate for President of the United States, has endorsed Republican Congressman Ron Paul (Texas) for President.

I think the next prez will be a democrat for the simple fact that George Walker Bush has tarnished the republican name. I myself think Hillary Clinton has a good chance maybe a better one then Obama. When people think of good times and a great economy they think of the Bill Clinton era...

I'd say it has to be democrat but I suppose it depends on who gets the nominations for each party, too soon to say I think
