In the sixties, what things did you treasure? what were your secrets? do you still have some of those things?

for example; in the 90's my treasures were my pogs, my koosh ball, and my jelly sandals. My secrets were my hiding places where I could go read and not me disturbed.

    hi imamuffin

in the 60's most of my treasured things were music related. i still have all of those things as i saved them all (except for the ones my mom threw out while i was hitch-hiking through europe for 3 months....:+(.
my beatles tickets stubs, my fillmore east programs, pictures and magazines of that era. i also worked for a peace group near my house on 8th street in nyc and have saved the flyers we handed out on weekends encouraging people to march on washington, d.c. in 1969.
the most important things were my letters to and from friends. i spent most summers out of the nyc area and would write to the friends i had back then. i've saved all those letters though i don't know some of those people anymore. it's those human connections that are the most important always.

My Blind Faith album, and my Beatles albums. I still have the Beatles albums, but the Blind Faith one is long gone. I do have it now on CD though.

My biggest secret at the time (I was in grade school in the sixties) was that I was against the war. My dad was a WWII vet, and expressing any anti-war sentiment was, well...not advised. :leaving:
