Last night, I had a dream that I was at a party with my friend Rachael. We went outside onto the porch to smoke a cigarette and all of a sudden I was completely wasted. This old woman across the street started yelling at us and I went to go back inside but Rachael was holding my arms down and I couldn't reach the door handle. When I woke up, my body wouldn't move, but I know I was awake. After a couple seconds I was able to move again, but I was sweating and my heart was pouding..

    Do I have sleep paralysis?
And what could this dream mean?

I used to get those all the time - and sometimes I used to get them when i wasn't *quite* asleep. Very unpleaseant. I get them less. In japan they call it 'kanashibari' and they think a ghost is sitting on your chest. ...

every one has sleep paralysis. otherwise when you dream of doing something, you'd actually be doing it! but sometimes your mind wakes up too early. i dunno boutyour dream thoughh

im not sure what causes it, but i have had similar type deams such as the dream i had where i was hiking thru the woods and was bit by a snake, the jolt of the snake bite awakened me and for a few minutes i was unable to move or talk, it was freaky. but i don't believe that you are that way all the time because i also find myself sometimes very active outside of the dream while i am dreaming.

Yeah, sleep paralysis. It happens to me all the time, particularly when I yell in a dream or anything supernatural (like ghosts, aliens, etc.) are mentioned or present. Usually I will only auditoraly hallucinate while this happens, but the other night when it occured, I saw my computer mouse spinning in circles on my bed's top bunk. It was strange.

For the past few years, whenever I sleep in the guest room at my parent's house, I've woken up like this (temporarily paralyzed) over and over again in the night. It's not necessarily unpleasant but I'm definitely being restrained.

Nobody here has really mentioned the specific theme I have, of which there are two:

The first thing is that I'm always dreaming I'm in the same room I'm actually asleep in, so I'm not certain if I'm dreaming or not. I pinch myself, when I'm able to move, to find out because I learned that old trick really works. I've had dreams where I pinch myself and feel nothing, so I know it's a dream. Anyway, the dream always takes place in this very room.

The second thing is a major sexual undercurrent. I feel very arroused and I feel like there is another presence making me feel this way, running over and through me. It's not something I necessarily want to stop but I stop it because somewhere in myself I know I didn't ok it. Sometimes I wake up cumming, even though I didn't touch myself.

When I try to wake up, I try vocally. I usually wake up by some muted/retarded sort of yell that sounds animal and freaky to my own ears. When I wake up, I feel alarmed, still turned on, and on guard. I get up and turn on all the lights and there have been nights in that house that I don't even want to go back to sleep.

Some people say this is scientific but I don't believe that because these two specific themes don't happen in such a way in any of my other dreams, or when I'm sleeping in my own bed. These dreams are unique and have their own individual characteristics. I've definitely felt that I wasn't alone in this room. I didn't feel like the entity was evil but I'm not sure it's friendly, either...I just know it's very oversexed and attracted to me.
