I tried posting this in the politics thread but it would not allow me. For those of you who have myspace: http://www.myspace.com/congressmanronpaul
Ron Paul is the only REAL candidate running, but he'll never win. And of course those who know NOTHING about him are already talking shit. People assume that because he's running as a Republican, he must be like George Bush. He is nothing even close to George Bush. Ron Paul is a Libertarian running on the Republican ticket. People will vote for Hillary and Obama, thinking they will get change, when they'll just get more of the same. Nobody who represents the best interests of this country will ever be elected. Heck, the New York Times refused to even list Paul's name under the Republican candidates.
It is so early in the election it is hard to say that somebody will not win. He is gaining a lot of support on the internet and we need to support him also. What other candidate can compare to him?
Let's be realistic. You don't get elected unless you have backing from the Global Elite. Even if Ron Paul did stand a chance to win, they would never let him win. With rigged elections and electronic voting, the people really have no say in anything. I am sorry, but that's the truth.
If Ron Paul starts to get any kind of backing, the global elite will buy him out too. They have countless amounts of money at their disposal..he will become a tool if he becomes to much of a threat. *shrugs*
I only vote for politicians who go to rehab, leave rehab, shave their head, go to rehab, argue about their kids, go to rehab, and then leave rehab.
that is a part of the truith. just not quite entirely the whole story either. conscousless economic interests do play a kingmaker roll, presellecting who we get to "choose" between. but for various resonse there are limits as to just how free their hands are too. this means that while they won't give us anyone they don't think they can control to a very great extent on everything that counts to them, at the same time, they are often situationaly compelled to give us one or both candidates in the general election whome they can make to look like, can actualy convince many of us this is not the case. nor does the complexity entiry end there. another little matter is that of the bought staying bought. carter convinced them he was their boy, then told them where to not let the door hit them a good bit of the time once he got in. of course they got back at him before the end of his first term, with that deal between raygun and khomani, but the point is, he DID manage to snooker them for much of his time in office, and it's not impossible for this to happen again. nothing is ever QUITE THAT simple, even on the dimally tyrannical side of things. gremlins at least, do not discriminate in favor of tyrannts. the grass does still grow up between the cracks in the sidewalk and defoliants can't be sprayed EVERYwhere if the tyrannts want to survive themselves. =^^= .../\...
the tyrants made nuclear power plants and bombs , they arnt too much concerned with the long term prospects of life on the planet defacto themselves or their progeny
collectively defacto this is true. individualy they are just as scared shitless of their own mortality as anyone else. they just have very big blind spots that somehow enable them to refuse to connect the dots between the two. the oversimplifications of bitterness are just as much oversimplifications as those of hope and optomism. and it's still an absolute coin toss between the two, however dismal the details appear. and while none of us may be able to do everything we'd like to see everyone do, we can do what we can, each in our own way, that will at least give us the comfort of doing. and just might just might, do something good for the statistical gestalt. =^^= .../\...
