From today's Metro (London): an 85-year old woman has been told she can no longer sunbathe topless outside her own home, because a new housing estate is to be built behind her bungalow and some of the houses will overlook her previously secluded backyard. The story begins "Anyone of a sensitive disposition may want to stop reading now ..." as if the idea of an unclothed older person was somehow shocking. Well, I think it's a damn shame this old dear can't continue to enjoy her harmless pleasures; and the way the story was reported is frankly offensive.
Absolutely horrible, the opinion of the developer. I totally applaud the lady and I hope she maintains her position. This is another example of how female nudity is treated. If it was a young woman, this never would have become an issue. We should all applaud her. Nudity should be accepted of all: age, race, weight, should never be an issue.
She oughta tell them to go chase themselves, its her yard if she wants to go topless then she should and if other people dont wanna see it then they shouldnt be taking peeks into her yard. its not her fault some people cant mind their own business and keep their eyes out of other people's homes.
I say screw em. What you do on your own property should be nobody elses concern. If it offends you, dont freakin look!
